The Minister for the Marine and Natural resources Dermot Ahern has held talks in Belfast with his Northern Ireland counterpart Ian Pearson.

A timetable on regulating tax and transmission plans were discussed by both Ministers.

The objective is to provide gas at the same cost on both sides of the border.

Energy Minister Dermot Ahern says an all-island pricing structure for gas and electricity makes sense.
