The Democratic Unionists Party are to hold talks with the Irish Government in an attempt to push the peace process forward.

The anti-agreement DUP, now the majority party in the suspended Assembly, confirmed they would be meeting the Government.

Taoiseach Bertie Ahern had issued the invitation to discuss how progress can be made.
