Two members of staff at an organisation set up by the British government to help police widows and officers injured during the Northern Ireland troubles have been arrested by police investigating terrorist and criminal activity, it was revealed today.

Two members of staff at an organisation set up by the British government to help police widows and officers injured during the Northern Ireland troubles have been arrested by police investigating terrorist and criminal activity, it was revealed today.

The arrested men, detained at their homes yesterday, work at the Northern Ireland Police Fund which was established as part of the implementation of the Patten Report on policing reform.
