London Mayor in Dublin to discuss EU presidency

The Lord Mayor of London City, Alderman Robert Finch, said today that Ireland has a major opportunity to shape global trade during its presidency of the EU.

Alderman Finch is in Dublin for talks with EU Minister Dick Roche and the Lord Mayor of Dublin.

They are discussing British concerns over proposed EU financial legislation.

Mayor Finch says Europe’s financiers are relying on Ireland next year to steer a path for vibrant commercial trading.
