Gardaí seeking two youths on Dublin stabbing

Gardaí were today seeking two youths after a man was stabbed to death when he confronted intruders attempting to steal his car.

The incident happened outside the man’s home in the Ballyfermot district of Dublin last night.

The men followed the father-of-five, who was in his early 40s, into his house, where the attack took place. The dead man was thought to have been stabbed in the back.

Detective Superintendent Hubert Collins said: “We have launched a murder investigation and are appealing for witnesses.”
