An independent investigation has found that an explosion, which seriously injured four people in Dublin earlier this month, was caused by a build-up of gas that had leaked from an underground pipe.

An independent investigation has found that an explosion, which seriously injured four people in Dublin earlier this month, was caused by a build-up of gas that had leaked from an underground pipe.

The report says the pipe most likely fractured as a result of the pressure of vehicles overhead on the rubble and soil in which it had been buried.
