The Minister for Social and Family affairs Mary Coughlan has announced that the social welfare Christmas bonus will be paid next week.

The Minister for Social and Family affairs Mary Coughlan has announced that the social welfare Christmas bonus will be paid next week.

The bonus will be double that of normal weekly payment and is estimated to cost €115m.

The Minister today has also reminded pensioners to collect their Christmas double payment next week from post offices.
