Ahern: Bust will not follow boom

The boom in the Irish Republic’s economy will not be followed by bust, Taoiseach Bertie Ahern vowed tonight.

In a speech aimed at boosting party morale, the Taoiseach told members of his Fianna Fáil party in Dublin his Government would hold its nerve in office and continue to manage the economy responsibly.
