Dooley: 'protect immigrants from torture and poverty'

Groups campaigning for the rights of children born to immigrant parents are calling on the Minister for Justice to halt deportations.

Organisations such as CADIC and the Children's Rights Alliance say it will prevent Irish-born children from facing a life of torture and poverty.

Ray Dooley is the Chief Executive of the Children's Rights Alliance. He says his primary concern is to ensure that the constitutional and human rights of the children are respected and protected.
