AA welcomes Brennan plans

The Automobile Association has welcomed plans by Transport Minister Seamus Brennan to give gardaí new powers to breathalyse motorists in the run-up to Christmas.

Spokesperson Conor Faughnan said the move was seen by many as a step towards the introduction of random breath-testing.
