Cassells to seek Labour nomination for Euro election

Peter Cassells, a former general secretary of the Irish Congress of Trade Unions, has announced his intention to seek the Labour Party nomination in Leinster for next year’s European Parliament election.

Mr Cassells, the current chairman of both Forfas and the National Centre for Partnership and Performance, has been a member of the Labour Party since 1975.
