Man held in Waterford drugs probe

Investigations are continuing today in Dungarvan following the discovery of the body of a 21-year-old man in a flat in the town.

Gardaí believe he may have died from an ecstasy overdose.

His body was found on Sunday morning at a rented apartment in the town.

Meanwhile, in a follow up operation, gardaí arrested a teenager and a man in his sixties, both from Dungarvan for drug trafficking offences after a substantial quantity of ecstasy, cannabis and amphetamines were seized in raids around the town.

The man is still being held at Dungarvan garda station for questioning.
