Martin to exclude prisons from proposed smoking ban

Health Minister Micheal Martin has confirmed that prisons will be exempt from his proposed ban on smoking in all Irish workplaces.

Mr Martin told the Dáil today that he had amended the regulations governing the proposed ban to take the special circumstances in prisons into account.
