Transatlantic jet makes emergency landing at Shannon

A transatlantic jet carrying US soldiers made an emergency landing at Shannon Airport this morning after the crew reported engine trouble.

The aircraft was carrying 282 soldiers from Baltimore to the German city of Frankfurt when it requested permission to make the emergency landing.
