Two still critical after Dublin gas explosion

A father and his six-year-old daughter are still fighting for their lives today after a gas explosion at their home in south Dublin yesterday morning.

The blast, which was caused by gas leaking from a broken pipe, blew the roof off the house in Glendoher Close, Rathfarnam.

Two other children were injured in the explosion, while their mother escaped unhurt.

A Bord Gais worker, who was outside the house at the time investigating reports of a gas leak, also narrowly escaped injury.
