Rape and other sexual offences accounted for 77% of new cases for which trial dates have been set by Mr Justice Paul Carney at the October listing session in the Central Criminal Court.

Trial dates up to November 2004 were set for at total of 26 cases of which 20 involve allegations of rape or other sexual crimes and six are for murder.
