Galway landslide: 'Action plan needed'

Thousands of tonnes of mud have been running down a gorge on the side of a mountain in Derrybrien since earlier this week.

Local residents have expressed fears that the mudslide could affect water supplies and fish stocks and could also threaten homes.

It has already blocked several roads and bridges. Mr Connaghton, the local TD, said the landslide was a "huge disaster by any standards".
