Prison officers to discuss overtime dispute

The Prison Officers Association is due to meet officials from the Prison Service today to discuss a long-running dispute over overtime.

Yesterday, the POA announced that its members had almost unanimously rejected the Government proposals on how to reduce an annual bill of €64m for prison officers’ overtime.
