The Minister for the Environment, Martin Cullen, says he has no intention of curtailing spending in the areas of housing and rural water, despite the recommendations of the ESRI.

In a mid-term review of the National Development Plan to be published tomorrow, the economic think-tank will call for cuts in spending on rural water schemes and social housing.
