Taoiseach urges North parties to campaign positively

The Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern, has called on the North’s political parties to campaign positively ahead of Assembly elections on November 26.

In a statement issued today, Mr Ahern also described last week’s steps by the republican movement as significant and said work to build on these developments would resume in time.
