Woman dies after Dublin house fire

A woman has died following a house fire in Ballyfermot in Dublin.

Several units of Dublin Fire Brigade attended the fire in a house on Rossmore Drive shortly before 3am this morning.

The woman, who is believed to be in her 40’s, was found in an upstairs bedroom and was taken to St James' Hospital, where she later died from her injuries.

Gardaí in Ballyfermot are preserving the scene for a technical examination.
