Housefire leaves woman in serious condition

A woman was taken to St James’ Hospital following a fire in Ballyfermot this morning.

Two units of the Dublin Fire Brigade dealt with the blaze, which happened around 3am in a house in Rossmore Drive.

The victim of the fire, who was alone in the house at the time, is said to be seriously ill.
