Rheumatoid arthritis sufferers 'waiting years' for assessment

One of the country's leading experts on rheumatoid arthritis is calling for early treatment of the disease.

About 1% of the population, including children, are affected by the debilitating and inflammatory disease.

Dr Robert Coughlan has revealed that in some cases patients are being asked to wait for up to five years before being seen and assessed.
