Taoiseach in phone contact with Blair

Bertie Ahern has spoken to the British Prime Minister Tony Blair by phone this morning, in a bid to break the deadlock in the peace process.

The news comes after a long television interview with Mr Ahern yesterday in which he stated he knew exactly what the IRA had decommissioned but could not reveal what he knew.
