Weather hits Dublin-Maynooth rail service

There will be no rail service on the Dublin-Maynooth line this evening.

Engineers have been working throughout the day to repair signalling equipment at Clonsilla, after it was struck by lightning during last night’s storms.

Iarnród Éireann is warning that the service remains suspended for this evening’s peak times.

The line also forms part of the Dublin-Sligo inter-city service and bus transfers to and from Edgeworthstown are in place for those affected.
