Ahern to donate peace prize money to children’s hospital

The Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern, has announced his intention to donate $15,000 (€12,000) to the Temple Street Children’s Hospital in Dublin.

The money is part of the $45,000 (€38,000) Mr Ahern received as part of a peace prize awarded to himself and British Prime Minister Tony Blair in the United States earlier this year.
