Minister targets illegal dumping

Environment Minister Martin Cullen has officially launched the Office of Environmental Enforcement.

Environment Minister Martin Cullen has officially launched the Office of Environmental Enforcement.

The body was established this year as part of the Environmental Protection Agency’s strategy for the coming three years.

Mr Cullen said he hoped the office would target people and companies involved in illegal dumping.

"I want them rooted out, I want them prosecuted, I want them jailed," he said.
