ICTU want minimum wage earners out of tax net

The Irish Congress of Trade Unions has called on the Government to remove minimum wage earners from the tax net in this December’s budget.

ICTU’s pre-budget submission also calls for tax credits and tax bands to be linked to inflation to ensure that the real value of people’s wages is not continuously eroded.
