Cowen hopeful 'trust can be enhanced' in North

Foreign Minister Brian Cowen said further developments to enhance trust would ensure there was the most positive atmosphere possible for elections in the North.

He told RTÉ radio that it was necessary to wait and see what happened during the course of the day and to take things step by step.
