East Timor President begins two-day trip to Ireland

Xanana Gusmao, the President of East Timor, has arrived in Ireland on a two-day official visit.

Mr Gusmao has already held talks with Government Chief Whip Mary Hanafin and Junior Minister Tom Kitt.

He is due to meet the Tánaiste, Mary Harney, later today and the Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern, tomorrow morning.
