Cullen launches waste management strategy

Environment Minister Martin Cullen has launched an initiative aimed at reducing the amount of waste produced in Ireland and promoting recycling.

The initiative, which includes television advertisements, follows publication of a Forfas report showing that the amount of household and commercial waste generated in Ireland has increased by around 45% since 1995.
