Angry scenes as murder accused appears in court

Police in riot gear today used batons to clear a court as a man accused of murder was taken from the dock.

As Bartholomew “Bart” Fisher, who is accused of stabbing James Joseph McGinley to death, was before the Derry court, members of the dead man’s family and other supporters had to be restrained from attacking the defendant.
