Nine in hospital after flats complex fire

Nine people were hospitalised this morning after a fire at a block of flats on the outskirts of Galway city.

Eight adults and a child are being treated for shock and smoke inhalation after the fire broke out at the Glen na Rí flats at Merlin Park shortly after 7.30am this morning.
