Hanafin welcomes drop to 2.9% in inflation rate

The Minister of State at the Department of the Taoiseach, Mary Hanafin, has welcomed the fall to 2.9% in the annual inflation rate in September.

Hanafin said "This is the first time since November 1999 that Ireland's inflation rate has dipped below the 3% level".
