The judge chairing of one of Ireland’s tribunals of inquiry into scandal allegations tonight admitted making a settlement with the tax authorities.

Judge Alan Mahon, who took over over the tribunal into Planning Matters and Payments earlier this year, issued a statement after being told his settlement was being reported in tomorrow’s issue of the Phoenix.
