With the Government assuming next year’s EU presidency, there’s been a call to raise funds for the establishment of a peace and reconciliation programme.

Women’s Coalition member, Monica McWilliams, said she raised the funds-issue with the Taoiseach on Friday.

At the meeting, the former South Belfast Assembly member highlighted the importance of continuing the EU’s Peace and Reconciliation programme.

The programme actively funds social and economic projects in the North, as well as integration schemes in Louth, Monaghan, Cavan, Leitrim, Sligo and Donegal.
