Grian calls on Govt to end Sellafield reprocessing
An environmental organisation is today urging the Government to be consistent in its efforts to stop reprocessing at Sellafield and in opposing the nuclear industry within the EU.
A spokesperson for the organisation Grian says that Ireland must say no to nuclear in the European treaty by proposing that Euratom be abolished.
Pat Finnegan says that Euratom, a treaty that exists to promote nuclear power, belongs in the last century along with the fossil fuels that cause climate change.
