Landslide victims cannot return home

The Co Mayo families whose homes were damaged in landslides two weeks ago have been told its still too dangerous for them to return.

Up to 26 of the 40 householders affected can go back to their houses.

A further survey is being carried out next week to assess whether those who haven't been allowed home today will be able to return by then.

Brian Wilson, chairman of a North Mayo residents group formed after the landslides, has been allowed to return home.
