Anti-bin tax campaigners to protest at Dáil

Opponents of the bin tax in Dublin are due to mount a protest outside the Dáil this evening calling for the scrapping of the tax and the release of Socialist Party TD Joe Higgins and councillor Clare Daly.

The pair, who were at the forefront of the campaign against the bin tax, were jailed for a month two weeks ago for organising blockades of bin lorries.
