Cutbacks better than borrowing - poll

Forty-eight per cent of respondents would favour further government cutbacks over tax increases or increased borrowing, according to an opinion poll published this morning.

The Irish Times/TNS MRBI poll found that only 29% of respondents favoured increased borrowing and only 9% supported an increase in taxes.
