Fires at vehicle compound investigated by police

Police in the north are investigating a set of fires involving cars in Co Antrim.

The incidents occurred at a vehicle compound in the Suir road in Newtownabbey.

The fires were reported just after 3.20am this morning and police are now looking for any witnesses or anyone with relevant information.

A vintage Volkswagen Beetle, two refrigeration units, two caravans, a lorry and four other vehicles were destroyed in the fire.
