Labour recruitment drive begins in Dublin

The Labour Party starts its biggest recruitment drive under leader Pat Rabbitte later today.

Party delegates will be canvassing at the Ilac Shopping Centre in Dublin throughout the day.

The party says the time is right to take on new members amidst growing public dissatisfaction with the Government.

More than two thousand new members have joined Labour in the last year.

Party General Secretary, Mike Allen says, "Pat Rabitte’s style of leadership is attracting plenty of interest with the public now looking to make a political change."
