Minister rejects call for student supports

The Minister for Education has rejected ASTI calls to provide more support services for students with disabilities.

The Association of Secondary Teachers in Ireland says the Education of Persons with Disabilities Bill must be amended to include support services in schools for disabled students.

However Education Minister Noel Dempsey said sufficient services were already in place.
