One dies following Kerry fishing accident

One person has died after a fishing boat capsized off the Kerry Coast this afternoon.

Two others have been brought to Tralee General Hospital for treatment.

A fourth person on board was also rescued.

The fishing boat got into difficulties near Fermoyle beach in Brandon bay.

The alarm was raised at 1.30pm this afternoon.

Valentia coast guard co-ordinated the operation, which involved Fenit lifeboat, and the Shannon based helicopter.
