Bertie Ahern to receive peace award

Taoiseach Bertie Ahern leaves Dublin for a four-day visit to the United States tomorrow which incorporates receiving a peace award – jointly being made to Tony Blair – and addressing the General Assembly of the United Nations for the first time.

Mr Ahern will be handed the Thomas J Dodd award at a ceremony at the University of Connecticut.
