Investigation delayed by toxicology reports
Gardaí investigating the death of a number of patients at Naas General Hospital say they have not yet received the results of important toxicology tests.
The body of 77-year-old John Gethings was exhumed from a graveyard in Baltinglass, Co Wicklow, in July as part of an investigation into the activities of a nurse at the hospital.
A number of staff at the hospital had expressed concern at the way drugs were administered to Mr Gethings, and to other patients.
Gardaí say the toxicology report on Mr Gethings’ body is not yet available.
