School closes as 21 teachers fall ill

Another school in Naas, Co Kildare, closed yesterday when 21 of its teachers complained of stomach pains.

The illness is confined to the teaching staff, but the Convent of Mercy school sent home all students except exam classes yesterday.

It's not thought to be connected to the mystery viral infection that hospitalised over 20 students from CBS Naas last week.

It is expected the Convent of Mercy will re-open on Monday.
