Security sources in the North have revealed that two police officers were questioned about the murder of solicitor Rosemary Nelson in 1999, but were never charged due to a lack of evidence.

The two officers were arrested after Trevor McKeown, a loyalist serving a life sentence, claimed they had offered him details of Ms Nelson’s address.
