Airport workers in Dublin and Cork are considering fielding candidates in next year’s local elections as part of their campaign against the Government’s planned break-up of Aer Rianta.

SIPTU said its research found that ‘Save the Airports’ candidates could win up to six seats in Fingal County Council and Dublin City Council.
