Nurses hit out at board members

The Irish Nurses Organisation says the South Western Area Health Board of the Eastern Regional Health Authority in Dublin has ceased employing agency nursing staff.

The Irish Nurses Organisation says the South Western Area Health Board of the Eastern Regional Health Authority in Dublin has ceased employing agency nursing staff.

The measure left one hospital in the city with eight fewer nurses this week.

Nurses say the board has also introduced measures to cut the equivalent of 110 jobs from its services, and is ceasing respite services.
